Tuesday, June 24, 2025: 6:41 AM: If there’s one thing I need to get done today, it’s the stuff for NJ FamilyCare. At first glance through all their paperwork, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say I was being audited or simply treated as a brand-new client.
But I guess since the United States government is under audit, courtesy of DOGE as set up by the Trump Administration, it’s to be expected. If the government needs to audit itself, why wouldn’t they audit the very people who draw benefits from them, “Right?”
There really isn’t anything else pressing that needs to be managed today other than my NJ FamilyCare recertification. I’m all caught up on my reading, and other than general housekeeping type things, I’m good to go.
Sure, the stairwell and apartment could stand a quick once over with the vacuum. The bathroom and kitchen could stand to be given a bit more love than they’ve been getting of late, too. But today will be all about having everything I need for the recertification for my secondary health insurance, which funnily enough pays my primary Medicare insurance coverage.
I’m also gunning for getting things squared away with filling out the forms themselves by the end of today, too. I already made a call yesterday afternoon asking for a reasonable accommodation because I will need help filling out the paperwork, which is interesting in and of itself because I was able to do the first round online. You would think they’ve gone fully electronic by now but…
Oh well. At least I can upload everything to their servers, which they are requesting be attached to this second round of paperwork.
