Julia and I slept in a bit this morning. Well… We woke up at 8:00 AM. “Let’s put it that way.”
And… By the time we got done with certain contemplations we probably didn’t get out of bed until more like 9:00 AM. But… Hey. You know? It’s Sunday, “The Day of Rest.”
So, it’s cool. After taking a shower and straightening things out around the house a little bit, which involved doing a bit of laundry, we decided to take a walk out to the Hampton Diner for lunch. And… Much to our surprise… “It actually was snowing lightly on and off during certain parts of our trip.”
But… We made it safe and sound, no problem. Paid a little visit to Ellen’s brother, Mark, who works at the gas station there over by Weis. It’s actually part of Weis. It’s their own gas station.
So, when he saw us walk up to the gas pumps, he’s like, “What’s up guys?” I told him that my cane was running out of gas, and it needed a refuel.
He got a kick out of that. So did Julia.
Up at the Hampton Diner we ran into Bono, Siro and our waitress was Stacey this time around.
And… Uh… Hadn’t seen Stacey in a while. And… She was happy to see us.
I got to tell you that their Mexican Skillets really do hit the spot, even if they are charging $12,99 for them these days. Well worth it but… Uh… I think they might have screwed the order up on mine because eggs were more like sunny side up instead of scrambled.
But… Actually… It worked out pretty well. It was a different flavor and I just let it ride and actually liked it that way. So… “It’s all good!”
After lunch we decided to mosey on back home and made it back home by 3:00 PM. After that, we spent a couple hours listening to more of Clive Cussler’s Iceberg.
I think we’re almost done with the book now. I don’t think there’s much more to go with that.
We had a light snack around 7:00 PM. Yeah… We’re really into this fruit salad thing lately. I’m not sure what’s up with that but… It’s good. It’s simple. And… It does the job and, you know, “It’s all good.”
Then Julia wanted me to take a shower with her and it was one of those very sensual showers that involved a lot of touching and other things. And…. Um… After the shower was all done Julia decided she was going to stretch out on the couch for a little bit and just chill and relax and listen to some music.
I don’t think she spoke more than, “Alexa, play my playlist,” and all of a sudden, she just zonked out. The music started and Julia… Well… “She stopped.”
And… You know? It was a long walk and invigorating walk, and we racked up a little bit of milage today on foot. And… To be honest with you… I’m thinking like, “You know? I think the girl’s got the right idea.”
But… I don’t think I’m going to let her sleep all night on the couch. That would just be uncool.
