I’m Winning in My Personal and Professional Life.

“You look like crap honey. Why don’t you just chill for a while and I’ll get us some coffee, Ok?” were the first words I heard softly spoken by Julia this morning. And… Yeah… “I felt like crap, too.”

“I’m guessing you’ve got a monster sized headache from the weather that’s coming?” Julia asked me. “Yeah… But… I’ll be fine,” I said. “I just need to…” But that was as far as I got. Julia very gently gave my arm a squeeze and cut me off saying, “Relax. I’ve got this.”

She then gave me a light kiss on the forehead and slipped out of bed and disappeared into the kitchen. I must have dropped back off to sleep while she was gone because the next thing I know I woke feeling her laying next to me in her bathrobe, smelling like she had just gotten out of the shower.

“Better?” Julia asked when she saw my eyes open. I nodded, at which point she laughed softly and in a voice full of warmth and concerned said, “Yeah… Sure you do. I know you will get over it but… Um… Are you sure you don’t want anything for it?”

I smiled up at her as she moved to a sitting position next to me, gazing down at me and watching my face and shook my head. “It will pass,” I said. “And,” I continued, “If I have my way it will be soon.”

She then said, “If you don’t have anything pressing to do today… Well… Why not just relax.” I nodded as she reached out a hand and ran her fingers through my hair.

She then said, “I have a coffee here for you.” “Coffee,” I said, kind of sounding like ET. She Giggled and kissed me as I sat up, swinging my legs off the bed next to hers.

“You do spoil me,” I said softly. “Thank you,” I added as she handed me the cup. “You spoil me too,” she said. “I love you,” she breathed softly in my ear.

“I’m working from home today. So if you need anything please ask, ok?” She then added, “I know you won’t unless you’re falling down in agony. But I’m just putting it out there.”

We sat in silence together for a few minutes just holding hands and drinking coffee. Then I decided to drown myself in a hot shower for a while to see if it wouldn’t ease the headache a bit and… Well… “It kind of worked.” Julia said it was an improvement but urged me to at least avoid the really tedious stuff today if I could help it. Then after giving me one of her awesome long deep kisses, she headed into her study for the first virtual session of her day.

I did do as Julia suggested and just made a few phone calls. Mom had asked me what I thought of a book she had heard about, and when I called her about that, Dad did have a quick computer question for me but it wasn’t anything major. I touched base with a few of my clients that I hadn’t heard much from in a while and everything seems to be working smoothly for them. So… “I’ll call that a win!”

Then, during the afternoon, I ran a two hour meditation session before posting something on one of my sites. Even now, I can’t say that I’m feeling topnotch. But… At least I accomplished a few things.

Once Julia was done working she suggested that we go to Newton NJ’s Friendly’s for dinner, which was fine by me. I really do like their Apple Harvest Salad.

When we got home again, she insisted on giving me a full body massage. I told her it wasn’t necessary but she just wasn’t having it. So, I gave in and she really got into it, using oil and everything. She really is too nice to me sometimes I think. But I cherish her all the same. “Women like Julia are a rare gem that isn’t often found anywhere in the world today.”

When I regained consciousness she had the shower going and walked in with me. “It was nice.”

Right now, she’s in her study working with a twenty minute Binaural file I made for her to meditate with. But it won’t be long before she will be looking for me to join her in the bedroom for a good night’s sleep. So… Yeah… “I’m out of here!”
