I Am With an Observant Woman.

After a deliciously enjoyable time spent between the sheets last night and this morning, Julia and I got out of bed feeling refreshed and ready to do something useful. So… We headed over to Newtonian Gardens to look in our apartment over there, and seeing the crap job that was done with the snow removal by Goldberg Realty’s hired help… Well… “We decided to do something about that!”

I got to tell you… Our neighbors with assigned handicapped parking really did appreciate our assistance in helping them get their cars dug out. It’s not the easiest thing for someone with mobility issues to manage a shovel. But we got quite a few folks taken care of in record time. So… Yeah… “It all worked out!”

There really was no excuse for the Newtonian Gardens Property Manager not to have coordinated with the residence so that the parking lots could be plowed better. But… He’s Goldberg Realty’s problem if they continue to want to pay him for dropping the ball. Julia and I were just happy to be of service to those who needed it most.

And… It would seem that snow removal isn’t the only issue around Newtonian Gardens that needs addressing. Apparently, we had heard that something went down involving the arrival of the Newton Fire Department and Town Code Enforcement over by building 2 at around 3:00 PM Friday afternoon. From what we gathered it started out with someone setting off the alarm in the building while doing an apartment renovation out front facing West End Avenue. First the Newton Fire Department showed up to check things when they got the notification the alarm had been triggered and then the Code Enforcement Director, Bernard Hattersley, arrived on sight personally. From what people were saying, “Mr. Hattersley was most unhappy when he arrived.”

No one seemed certain as to exactly what Bernard was so agitated about but… I guess, in the end, they got things worked out. “Money talks and BS does walk you know!” But… We shall see.

Julia did notice quite a few cars towards the back lot that didn’t seem to have moved in months. And… She did make the comment to me a while back that she thought it strange that any complex manager would need to park any of his vehicles in a fire lane or on the lawn due to the apparent lack of available parking. “Wouldn’t it be easier to tell folks to get rid of the unused excess vehicles rather than create new assigned parking spots in fire zones and park your own crap on the grass?” Julia mused one time we were there. “What Apartment Manager needs four vehicles to drive anyway?” Julia asked. Then she made the observation, “What’s the deal with the New York plate on all his vehicles if he is a full-time complex manager in New Jersey?”

Julia is quite the observant woman, and she did raise, what I thought to be, some valid questions. But she agreed with me that, “All will work itself out in the end.” For some of us things will work out well. For others, things will work out not so well. And… At the end of the day, Julia and I will sleep soundly knowing that “There is such a thing as Universal Law.”
