This evening Julia walked into my study and silently handed me an envelope. She then sat down on the couch and stared at me intently.
“I’m guessing you had a run in with our creepy yet appreciative friends while in town today?” I asked quietly. “No,” Julia replied. “I got pulled over by a police officer who handed me that one. He then said a few words indicating thanks and motioned me on.”
“Ok? So…” I said slowly. Julia laughed and said, “It has your name on the outside of the envelope.”
I could tell Julia was laughing silently at this point and finally said, “There’s something you’re not telling me. What am I missing?”
Julia came over and gently took the envelope out of my hand and opened it. She then took out the contents and motioned by taking my hand in hers that I should come sit with her on the couch. “Another check,” she said quietly. “It’s definitely from our creepy friends. And… Judging by the dollar amount, it certainly explains why the officer said what he did to me.”
When I looked at her inquiringly Julia continued, “As he handed me the envelope, he said that it was a gift from my husband’s extremely appreciative groupies. The check is for $50,000.”
“Are you sure that’s from the FBI?” I asked. “Yes,” Julia said. “What are you doing?” Julia then asked sounding puzzled. “Confirming,” I replied.
I fired off a text after taking a picture of the check and attaching it to a number I used when I had information to pass along. I got an immediate response confirming the check was indeed from them and that it wasn’t a mistake. They then told me to turn on the news to see the story, which I did.
Julia said warmly seeing me relax after we’d checked in on Fox News in the Living room, “You almost looked scared for a minute Babe. What’s up.”
“I just wanted to be sure. It has crossed my mind in recent weeks that a check could be a way of manipulating me into doing work for a different party,” I replied. “I just wanted to be sure.”
Julia gave my hand a squeeze and said, “I think I understand. In other words, while you were at level, you detected the presence of someone possibly remote viewing you.”
I nodded. “Never ever assume,” I said. “I think, too, I’ll be calling a meeting with our friends to let them know, while their creativity in delivering these gifts is greatly appreciated, they need to be more direct and stop using my wife as the go between. It’s no longer cute.”
Julia gave me a hug and said, “I do appreciate that. I really do. But you should know that something is in the works that will enhance security for both of us.” Julia then kissed me saying, “Put it from your mind for now.” Then she did something to ensure I did just that.
