I Am Good at Moving Mountains.

“You look much better now Babe. And no… You’re not dreaming. Your wife is doing you at 10:00 AM on a workday,” Julia said between heavy breaths.

“What’s that?” I said sleepily, finally having registered the beautiful creature breathing hard and moving above me. Julia giggled and slowed, readjusting her position so she could kiss me, long and deeply.

When she came up for air again, she said warmly, “I think you heard me the first time. And yes… I took a sick day so to speak and I suggest you do the same.”

“All because I had a headache at 2:00 AM?” I asked, still trying to get a firm grip on reality. “Not exactly,” Julia breathed just before suddenly climaxing, which triggered my own a few seconds later.

“Why then?” I asked still feeling kind of stoned. Julia kissed me again before saying slyly, “Because I can.”

“Ok,” I said, and Julia laughed. “I kind of figured you’d agree.” She then moved down under the sheets and did a few toe-curling things with that mouth of hers that woke me up in a way that was… Well… “Refreshing!”

A while later, shortly after we’d stepped out of the shower, our friend Ellen had called asking us to join her for lunch. So, we did. It was a pleasant time, Ellen telling us about the plans she had for her blog, which I host, and kind of picking our brains a bit about a few other things going on in her life, like whether or not she should move in with her rather wealthy 62-year-old boyfriend.

I kind of marveled at the transformation that the woman has undergone as she spoke animatedly about things. What wonders a simple decision to shift one’s perspective on life can manifest within a body, mind, and spirit once that simple choice is made. It’s never easy. No. But it does work wonders physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Anyhow, we had a great time at lunch and came back home and began reading another one of the Clive Cussler books for a while. Julia really likes the Dirk Pitt series narrated by Scot Brick and was rather surprised to learn that part of the unabridged audio series wasn’t available in the United States on Audible or anywhere else until recently. “Who was the idiot that planned that?” Julia asked laughing when I told her about it.

“Someone who finally was informed that they were an idiot,” I replied with a smile. “That would be you then, right?” Julia asked. “No,” I said. “I didn’t do anything other than ask how I could get the rest of the books. Once I realized that I was only going to get the run around… I let it go.”

Julia, having put the book on pause when we started talking, laughed, and said slyly, “Yeah… I’ve seen your version of letting things go. You don’t even lift a finger to move the mountains in your way and I love it!” It was a very sensual night after that.
