It’s been a busy day around here. Julia Heading over to our office building in town around 8:00 AM to do some couples counselling, “All day in fact.”
I don’t even think the woman took time for lunch today. I could tell that she was pretty much done energy wise when she walked through the door. So… It’s probably a good thing I made an executive decision on my end and placed an order for delivery. Friendly’s rose nicely to the occasion with a couple of salads for each of us. Julia really appreciated it; her arriving home at around 5:30 PM and sounding like hell worn over.
After we ate and cleaned up, she walked into the living room, turned on some music, sat down on the couch and promptly fell asleep. Although, I’m thinking she’s starting to finally show signs of life again because I hear shower water running off in the distance.
As for me? I did some much-needed work for my clients, uploading changes to websites and logging into a few Windows 10 and Windows 11 powered PCs to fix the latest and greatest Microsoft screwups there. In a nutshell, “I earned my paycheck!”
All in all, I feel pretty good about what I accomplished today. I’m not so sure that Julia is feeling it though.
I could tell by her demeaner during dinner that she’d had to deal with, or perhaps it would be better to say, “Heard,” some pretty horrific stuff. Any way you slice it, I wouldn’t be surprised if she has a rough night if my suspicions about her day are correct.
But… Perhaps there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and a rough night can be averted for her after all. Yeah… She’s doing that singing in the shower thing again, off key and at the top of her lungs tonight. She’s killing ACDC’s Highway to Hell as I finish this up here.
At least… I’d better be finishing this entry up here. That God awful sound my wife is making will only stop when I strip off my clothes and join her, which is usually her motive behind breaking into off key song.
Huom… Off Key Song. When said quickly, that sounds like the name of a province one might find in China, “Doesn’t it?”
