I Am an Audio Editing Genius.

While I was working on one of my sites today, I got a text from Julia during a short break between her sessions with client. She wrote, “Would you be willing to help me create a guided meditation in either MP3 format or on CD I could use with clients?”

, I responded to her text saying, “Yes. I’m not sure which route you want to take with the project. But, if any royalty free stuff is required it shouldn’t be a problem to pull it all together once I know what you have in mind.”

I’m not sure what my wife is up to. But I’ve got a funny feeling that she’s starting to put whatever plan she’s hatched for changing the direction of her business/practice into motion. And… Somehow… Uh… Yeah… I’m getting the feeling she wants very much for me to be a part of that course change.

As it is, I already handle her tech stuff for her through my own company. So, I’m not concerned about working with her on a new project. She knows her business and I know mine. And… To be honest… A little change of pace that makes us stretch and grow is always a welcome thing in this house.

Working with my wife on a professional level has always been a pleasure because neither of us is afraid to let the other know when we’re sailing in uncharted waters at times. We both know what we’re trying to accomplish and are always clear on that with each other. But, if one of us is in over our heads and needs to do some studying at any given point, “We acknowledge it.”

If the pressure is on and something needs to be dealt with immediately, sometimes it’s just better to pay another party for a consult, if not simply handing the job or project off to them to do for us. No one person knows it all about computers and my wife, a licensed therapist, is constantly telling me about the new stuff she’s learning in her field.

I’m actually kind of curious to see what type of recording she wants to create. We’ve certainly got some decent hardware in the house to work with and Audacity has always been more than adequate for anything I’ve ever wanted to do sound wise on the software end of the equation.

So, when Julia texted me back saying, “We’ll talk about it more over the weekend. For now I just needed to know if you would be willing to help me. Thanks so much babe,” I happily replied, “I’m going to hold you to that.”

She then texted me a Winking face blowing a kiss emoji before sending another text with a waving hand emoji to indicate she was going back into session with her next clients. “It’s all good!”
