Julia and I woke at around 5:00 AM this morning and must have had the same idea because the wordless motion was simultaneous. It was a pleasant twenty minutes or so of shared breathtaking bliss. And I’m pretty sure we’ll both be thinking about those moments all day long or at least, “Until the next go round!”
Julia had to head into her office in town today for a few in person couples counseling sessions. For my part, I spent the better part of today setting up Briasphere.com.
I used the TwentySixteen theme for the site as my nephew seemed to feel I did a pretty good job with the header graphic. So… Yeah… I ran with that one and will be creating a few more to go up on other sites I have. Not the same exact one of course. “But the style will be similar.”
When Julia got home at around 4:30 PM she blew the horn, her clearly wanting me to come outside for some reason. When I came out, she asked, “Got your keys?” When I nodded, she simply said, “Get in then.”
I turned and locked the door to the house and jumped in the car. As soon as I closed the car door she was on the move. “Where’s the fire?” I asked her. She laughed and said, “No fire. I just want to get a table at the Hampton Diner before the dinner crowd shows up.”
I looked at her questioningly for a few seconds and she responded by reaching over and giving my hand a squeeze saying, “It’s just been a long day. But I’m fine. And… You’re with me now and we’re going out and life is good.”
I nodded and a little while later we pulled into the Hampton Diner parking lot. Julia was rather quiet over dinner but when we got home… She was something else. “A quite frisky something else!”
It was pretty clear that one or more of her sessions didn’t go well. But she couldn’t talk about it, and I knew better to even try and ask. But what I could do for her was respond to the way she wanted me, “Mirroring back what she was putting out and then some.”
She passed out cold after all was said and done and, after a time, I joined her in bed myself for another long blissful night’s sleep with the ever-delightful Julia Sullivan-Schnabel, always joyfully being open to the possibilities that might arise before dawn. “God is good and so is she!”
