I Am a Supportive Husband.

“So what’s on your dance card for today babe? Is there room on it for me?” Julia said slyly.

I opened my eyes and found my wife staring at me intensely as she lay beside me in our bed. “Well… What are you doing right now?”

Julia giggled and said huskily, “I’m not sure. Let me get up and check my schedule.”

She suddenly jumped out of bed. But sensing the move coming I was a split second faster, grabbing hold of her and throwing her back down on the mattress. She was only wearing a bathrobe with nothing underneath and I lifted her legs and roughly took her hard while I was still standing up.

“Oh my God,” Julia breathed shakily after all was said and done. “That was intense. I’m probably going to be walking a bit funny for the rest of the day, but it will be worth it.”

“Come here,” she said softly, now laying curled on her side near the edge. “No. Don’t sit down just yet.”

Did I mention the girl’s got some wickedly good oration skills? “Now you can come lay with me for a few,” Julia said with a giggle. “Come quick before you fall. Are you ok?”

I nodded, feeling a bit week in the knees. Julia moved over and as I slipped into bed beside her, I could feel arms reaching out.

“Rest for a while,” Julia whispered. “You’ve earned it,” she then added warmly just before kissing me.

I must have dozed off for a while because the next thing I know, I heard a gentle voice saying, “Coffee has arrived.”

I blinked for a few moments and sat up. Julia was on the love seat, and I walked over and sat beside her, taking the coffee she offered me. “Thankyou,” I said. “You do spoil me.”

Julia laughed saying, “Why don’t you ride into town with me. You can walk to the bank from our office building and head back home after you are finished if you like.”

So… That’s what I did, her first couple was scheduled to arrive for their counseling session within fifteen minutes of our arrival at the building. So… We parted ways once she was up and running.

It was an awesome day to be out and about, and I enjoyed stretching my legs as I moved on down 206 towards PNC Bank here in Newton NJ. When finished there, I headed back home, texting Julia to let her know where I was before sitting down to do another podcast and some posting to The Briasphere and Brian Schnabel’s Head Space.

When Julia came home from work at 4:30 she sat down in the living room recliner and slept for a while. The melt down she had later in the evening wasn’t unexpected; me eventually enticing her to come to bed where I held her as she cried herself to sleep.
