This morning Julia and I got up at five and I began my morning routine, doing pushups and free weights, while Julia did pushups and sit-ups. “The girl’s got energy!”
Afterword I suggested that she might want to do some journaling or perhaps a short, guided meditation. “What about a list of things to do,” Julia asked. “You know… Writing as if it were already done. Like what is suggested in that one reality creation book of yours,” she added.
I smiled and nodded. Then she asked, “Does it have to be exactly twenty minutes?” I said warmly, “Take all the time you need. I’ll be in my study doing some personal writing, to do lists and what not, myself.”
About a half hour later Julia turned up in my study doorway asking, “What’s next?” I looked up at her from my couch, where I had just begun doing some reading of a book pertaining to social media marketing and said, “As long as it isn’t the news, email, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and crap like that, either read something that will help you grow personally or professionally.”
“Ok,” Julia said and then leaned down, kissing me lightly before heading off again. I knew from past experience that she’d be back, right around the time I’d be wrapping up with what I was doing in about an hour. Julia never really wanted to get involved in the past. But… I also know she was noting what I was doing back then when I used to run my 5 AM morning routine when we first got married and began living together.
And sure enough, shortly before seven, just as I was hitting the stop button on the recording, I sensed movement and the most beautiful woman in the world lightly dropped into my lap. “I have to be in town at eight. I’ve got a morning full of therapy sessions with couples today, two of the appointments with new clients. But… I’ve got a little time to kill beforehand. Would you be interested in… Uh…”
Julia then kissed me gently after speaking and I responded, giving her a wordless, “Yes.” The next half hour we spent right there on the couch was heaven, neither of us wearing anything more than a bathrobe. So… No… There was no real clothing to get in the way of our intentions for each other.
After showering together, Julia hit the road for our office building here in Newton NJ. I spent the morning cleaning up a few things with client’s websites before those things became security issues. “Why WordPress isn’t designed to clean up inactive plugins and themes after a thirty-day period is beyond me.”
It would certainly make my life easier. But… Then I wouldn’t get to charge people the big buck for my services that I do. So… A configuring I went.
When Julia came home at around 4:30 PM she was surprised to find her dirty laundry had been washed and folded neatly on her dresser. “Someone’s changed the bedsheets, too,” Julia said warmly. “Thanks Babe,” she then added softly.
The rest of the evening was spent pretty much as the day had started. We definitely enjoyed the action between those nice clean sheets before dropping off to sleep, too.
