I Am Blessed with an Awesome Woman.

When I opened my eyes this morning, I found myself laying on my side with one arm extended; reaching for someone who was no longer there. I could still feel the warmth of Julia in the sheets though and took the time to revel in that before arising to begin a new day.

I walked to the kitchen following the scent of coffee and was greeted by Julia; her wrapping her arms around me and kissing me deeply during our close yet gentle embrace. As she lovingly disengaged herself and handed me my coffee, I smiled to myself thinking, “It’s foreplay Thursday and oh how much we do enjoy the way we play.”

She was heading into her office to meet with some clients but indicated she’d be home for lunch and perhaps a little something extra if I didn’t mind. “As if I could ever say no to a suggestion like that!”

After Julia went on her way, I checked my emails, finding one from my brother with some attachments for his business website. He just wanted me to update a few pictures this time around when I could get to it, of course. So… I took care of that for him thinking that at an agreed upon price of $1,200 a month, “I might just be able to get around to it!”

I then began working more on backing up files and thinking that if Julia wanted to have a little more than just lunch with me… Yeah… That new computer system just might have to stay in the box for one more day. I then took a moment to reflect on what a shame that really was. “Not!”

I listened to an audio book while waiting for several gigs of data to move to new locations; really liking the performance of the newly upgraded iCloud account. The Windows software they provide could stand a bit more improvement on the accessibility side of the equation but, as I understand it, Apple has plans to work on that; something about them realizing that, “If you want blind consumers to move away from Windows 11 and towards your products more rapidly, you need to make sure the software you develop for Windows 11 is easily accessible for the blind too!”

When Julia came home for lunch, she had brought it with her in the form of a few salads, which she wanted to have in our guest house at the back corner of the property. I will never know how this woman pulls off some of the things she does without me noticing. But when I walked back there with her… Well… It was pretty clear to me that she knew exactly what she wanted this afternoon to be like, “Long before I got out of bed this morning.”

After lunch we hung out in the living room enjoying the warmth of the fire in the fireplace, soft jazz music and the feel of each other as our bodies intertwined in a lazy relaxed manner on the couch. “Think heavy petting and you’ll get the picture.”

She did have an in person 3:00 PM she needed to return to her downtown office for. So, I returned to my study to deal with a bit more filing and stuff. Yeah… I cleaned out my in basket yesterday. But the neatly organized stuff now needed to be filed away with only the active stuff being left in a separate basket below that.

When Julia came home again at 5:00 PM we had a light dinner and cleaned up around the house a bit, flirting with each other all the while. After we were done, we sat for a bit before jumping in the shower together, totally enjoying washing each other from head to toe. “Think full body massage.”

As I write this, I can hear what sounds like meditation music playing in Julia’s study. So, I’m thinking that she’s either stretched out on the leather couch in their meditating, or else journaling.

Either way… As I wrap this day in review up… She’ll have probably fallen asleep in there. It’s ok though. I don’t mind carrying her to bed and tucking her in beside me. The fact that she trusts me to do so makes this frequent nighttime ritual special for me and, “I am honored at each opportunity I get to perform it.”
