I Am an Electronics Wizard.

I woke up early this morning. I’m not sure why. But… I did. So… Rather than wake Julia with my restless tossing and turning, I silently slipped out of bed and headed for my study. Well… I hit the power button on the coffee pot in the kitchen first but… “Isn’t that just a given?”

Once in my study, I couldn’t seem to settle to doing anything specific. So, I took out my iPhone and started messing with Russell Targ’s ESP Trainer game for a little while. Well, at least until the desired score of 18 out of 24 was achieved. Then I hit the kitchen and grabbed a cup of coffee.

When I came back into my study, I started to log into my account when I heard a soft voice behind me saying, “Does the game help you clear your head?” I about jumped a mile and turned to find Julia sitting on my couch.

“How long were you there for?” I asked. She answered saying, “Since the time you had played your last three games. You’re really getting quite good at it, scoring at least 12 out of 24 just about every time.”

I then rose and started for the kitchen with the intention of getting her a cup of coffee. But she reached out a hand and gently took hold of mine as I started to pass saying, “I’m good without coffee right now.” She then gave a gentle pull in her direction, and I sat down on the couch next to her.

She then asked, “Is everything ok? You’re out of bed kind of early, even for you.” “Yeah,” I answered. “Are you sure?” Julia asked as she gave my hand a gentle squeeze.

“Yes,” I said. “I’m not sure why I got out of bed so early this morning,” I continued. I then said, “I was hoping to let you sleep. But… I guess I need to practice my stealth a bit more.”

She laughed softly and very gently said, “No. You were fine. I was sleeping rather lightly myself when I noticed you hadn’t come back to bed. It’s all good.”

She then kissed me and said, “Why don’t you finish your coffee and then come take a shower with me. After that… Well…” She then chuckled and said, “You won’t mind taking a second shower with me later, will you?”

I very slyly said to her with a big grin on my face, “Now why would I need to take two showers in one morning? I mean… We’re married, we don’t have to do those things anymore.” She burst out laughing and said, “That is your best line of shit yet Brian. Now, get your ass in the bathroom.” She then pretended to compose herself with a dramatic clearing of her throat and said, “I mean… If you’re up for it… Your wife would really love to shower with you and then… Maybe we can rewrite the married couple’s handbook… You know… Upgrading it a bit… Uh… adding a few new modernized chapters just to offset the traditional BS just for… I don’t know… The fuck of it?”

As she spoke her voice acquired a husky yet extremely seductive tone to it. But when she finished speaking, she rose, handed me my coffee cup and simply said, “Drink.” As I took the cup from her, I could feel her hand trembling with her silent laughter. But I’m no fool. If Julia wants me than who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth and say, “No!”

I downed my coffee in one and, after setting the cup down on my desk, we headed off for the shower. And… Um… I must say… “What a shower it was.”

And… Yeah… After what went on once we dried off… Uh… Yeah… We did need a second shower once we’d decided it was time to stop acting like two lusty teenagers and give our professions the attention they required.

So… After sending Julia off to her office in town with a final breath-taking kiss that pretty much guaranteed there would be more fun of an x rated nature later… I returned to my study to find a text message on my phone from Sharon over at Newtonian Gardens. Her desktop computer wasn’t working, and she needed to pay bills.

So, after talking her through a few things on the phone, I decided to head over their and have a looksee in the hope of figuring out what was going on. Sometimes it’s best to just be on sight so you can hear the sounds coming out of the box.

When I got there, I heard nothing to indicate that there was a problem with the hard drive. So, I unplugged the keyboard and mouse after turning the tower off. And… Wouldn’t you know… Uh… Yeah… When I refired the machine, it went right up to the login screen. When I plugged the mouse and keyboard back in, it turned out that the keyboard was done. “It had seen better days.”

Lucky for me, Sharon had a spare keyboard because all my extra keyboards were at home, and I didn’t relish the idea of walking home to get one to bring back. So, after I helped her get that hooked up and made sure nothing else was wrong, I walked out the door a few bucks richer and decided to just cut across town to Julia’s office, figuring she had to be close to finishing up with her last client for the day.

Actually… I almost missed her. Apparently, her last client cancelled, and she was just getting into her car when she saw me walking across the parking lot towards the building.

“I thought you had gone to Newtonian Gardens to fix Sharon’s computer,” she said happily when she saw me walking toward her already running car. I walked up to her driver’s side window and said, “The fix was a success. So… Figuring that I could walk here in the same amount of time it would take me to walk home… Well…”

She reached an arm out her window and hugged my waist saying, “Well… Why don’t you hop in, and we can get lunch. I do need to stop at Cohl’s if you don’t mind. In fact, why don’t we do that first?”

So… I got in the car, and we hit Cohl’s and Jumboland again; Holly and our waitress Merissa quite happy to see us back so soon. We’d only just been there like two or three days ago. But… When the food is good and the wait staff is really cool, “There’s just some places you can’t get tired of.”

Once we got back home, we basically just chilled for a while, each of us doing some work-related little odds and ends here and there. I did get a few more blog posts up. So… I was pretty pleased about that.

And for the rest of the evening? Well… We had some fun together of an XXX nature and Julia is now sleeping comfortably in our bedroom. After this morning and this evening… I’m pretty sure we’re both going to be blissfully sleeping. I know that right now… Yeah… I definitely look forward to joining her in dream land all night tonight, “Soon!”
