I Am an Excellent Problem Solver.

I woke up early this morning and couldn’t fall back asleep. And… After watching Julia sleep peacefully for a while, “I decided it was time to get down to business.”

And… Today’s order of business? Getting my website caught up with all the podcasts I had created for it over the past couple of days.

I was quite impressed with myself. Not only did I figure out my little artifact problem with Audacity, but I managed to get everything done by one o’clock.

The transcripts were written. The descriptions were written. The property tags for the podcast were properly amended and, “Everything went live by 1:00 PM.”

When Julia got out of bed this morning she came into the study and handed me a coffee and sat behind me and just watched me work. When she was ready to start doing her virtual sessions for the day, she gave me a kiss and walked into her study, closed the door, and got down to business herself.

She was all done with everything by 3:00 PM. When she came in to see what I was up to, she said, “Sometimes you worry me just a little.”

I was like, “Why is that?” and she said, “Because you drive too hard sometimes.”

I was like, “Really?” She said, “Yeah.” She goes, “It’s not a bad thing but I am keeping an eye on you.”

I said, “Ok?” She then giggled and kissed me and said, “In fact, I’ve got my eyes on you right now.” I was like, “I have no doubt. I mean… You’re looking straight at me.”

She was like, “Yeah… I am. And… What I see looks really good.” Then she kissed me and said, “And what I’m seeing makes me think about feeling, if you know what I mean.”

I laughed and said, “Huom. A little cocktail before dinner my dear?” She said, “You read my mind.”

By the time five o’clock rolled around, the both of us felt very good, very relaxed, and we just didn’t want to go anywhere. So, we lay in bed together holding each other until about seven when Julia said, “I’m going to go in the kitchen and put together a couple of fruit salads. Is there anything else that you want?”

I was like, “No. Fruit salad sounds fine to me.”

So… She went into the kitchen, and I threw a bathrobe on and followed her. After we had our fruit salad, we decided to take a shower together and chill for a while.

We read more of Clive Cussler’s Iceberg and Julia has once again fallen asleep while listening to the book here in my study. She’s still sleeping away here on the couch behind me and I’m thinking it’s about time for me to sign off for the day and carry her off into the bedroom for another awesome evening of sleep.

“And…” Maybe a few extra things if the insomnia kicks in for either one of us. You never can tell. “Not in this house, anyway.”
