I Am Worth Making Sacrifices For.

Julia is a real sweetheart sometimes; her actually canceling some of her appointments today so that she could drive me out to Pennsylvania to set up a computer for a friend/client. And… While I insisted that she didn’t have to do that and I could make alternative transportation arrangements, she assured me that it was something she felt she needed to do and would probably benefit her in the long run. Although, she did admit, “She really wasn’t sure what those benefits might be.”

So… Around 10:00 AM this morning we headed out and arrived there at 11:30 AM. As it turned out, “It was a big help,” Julia helping me run wires through our friend’s desk to hook them up to the appropriate ports and get the system up and running.

The whole project took about maybe two and a half hours because we like to do a neat job, which meant straightening out a lot of wires and things. And… We did kind of move things around radically from what the old setup was.

So, “Yeah!” There was some work to be done.

After all was said and done on the business side of the equation, my friend/client insisted on taking us to the Texas Roadhouse where, Holly, our waitress, took excellent care of us. And… “They really do make a good stake there.”

We all had quite the good time. I even indulged a little bit and had two Jack Daniel’s on the rocks, which, in my mind, is how Old No. 7 should be.

As it turned out, we didn’t get home until close to 8:00 PM this evening. But, as Julia said, “It was a day well spent and quite enjoyable to live through.” She’s now sitting on the couch behind me as I record this, waiting for me to join her in the shower and a little quality time before we both go, “Lights out.”
